Elements 2026 Weekend Recap
This year Elements Music & Arts Festival 2026 built its three-day arc well besides the weather and mud that was thrown at it. Friday delivered the biggest immediate-impact bass and house programming, Saturday was the most stylistically balanced day, and Sunday supplied the most distinctive, emotional closing stretch. Being held back at the Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, Pennsylvania, August 7th - 9th the festival centered electronic music across its Air, Earth, Fire, and Water stages alongside immersive art and wellness programming.
Friday: High-impact opening
After a long week of work we were very much looking forward to the Elements weekend. On Friday morning we were keeping an eye on the weather as we knew it was going to be providing issues, but we never imagined how much! The rain came down in buckets, the lightning was wild and the clouds looked like something out of a movie. At 12:45PM we received the first notification that the venue was closing briefly due to lightning in the area. As we frequently checked the app for notifications another one didn't come through until 2PM saying to continue to shelter in place as they needed to continue to hold the camp gates. Finally by 5PM another update was received saying that comporound entry operations were being resumed, but commuter and single-day patrons should delay arrival.
We started to get nervous that Friday was going to be cancelled altogether, but luckily another update came through around 6:20PM stating that everyone could start making their way to their respective gates and the festival grounds would be open at 8PM.
Around 7:30PM we started to make our way to the festival (we were only 13 mins away) but the traffic to get in was insane! Luckily we found a local that was using their property as a parking area. We decided to pay the parking fee, walk for 12 mins and get into the festival by 10PM. If we didn't find that lot to park in we would have at least been in that traffic for another hour or more.
We were so excited to finally be back inside Elements, but damn was it MUDDY! Thank god we all either had rain boots or went to grab some before heading into the festival. Literally saved us all because the mud and puddles were unforgiving. Even with the boots if you didn't stick to the pathways your foot was getting soaked....trust us we found out the hard way.
When we first got into the festival the first stage that greets you is the fire stage. We lingered for a few songs and then ventured straight into the forest for the Ari stage and then popped back out to the Earth and Water Stage.
Friday was the most direct statement of intent. Above & Beyond brought melodic trance appeal, while Chris Lake supplied a reliable house anchor and Big Gigantic added live-electronic energy. On the heavier side, Excision and Ganja White Night gave bass fans a substantial opening-night payoff.
Even with the rocky start, stage design, production, and overall energy was somehthing to praise once things got going. Friday was defintely a chaotic start, but there was strong music even with weather and operations affecting the experience before the weekend found its footing.
Saturday: The best balance
Saturday was certainly a step up from Friday, minsu the mud. The lineup moved naturally between house—Cloonee, Matroda, Westend, Biscits, and A-Trak—and more left-field bass and psychedelic electronic sounds from CloZee, Of The Trees, Opiuo, and Subtronics. It was definitely the heaviest bass-driven day and one of the most intense crowd days musically.
That variety made Saturday ideal for exploration rather than staying locked to one genre or stage. Opiuo’s fifth Elements appearance gave the day a sense of continuity with the festival’s history, while Subtronics provided the large-scale bass headliner moment. This was the day that we wandered and discovered a different corner of the festival though. Between Frick Frack Blackjack, The Bizarre, silent disco, the giving tree, the speakeasy and all the art installations it was fun exploring around.
The only major downfall for the day were the porta potties and the water refill stations. Since the trucks had a difficult time getting in because of the mud, it delayed the cleaning of the bathrooms and getting the water stations refilled. Overall still a great day though.
Sunday: A memorable finale
Sunday was the most adventurous closing day and seemed to have been the most beloved day overall. Not just the weather, but musically as well. Charlotte de Witte and I Hate Models represented a hard, uncompromising techno lane, while LSDream, Daily Bread, Marvel Years, and Tiga created a much wider spectrum of electronic styles. Porter Robinson’s DJ set was one of the weekend’s standout bookings because it offered a rarer format than a conventional live performance
GRiZ performing Chasing the Golden Hour was the emotional centerpiece. His saxophone-forward sunset concept suited the festival’s outdoor, elemental identity especially well, and the Fire Stage was positioned as a focal point for sunset programming.
Sunday was definitely a highlight of the entire weekend, with improved vibes, memorable sets, and a stronger sense that the festival had settled in after earlier logistical problems.
Weekend Overall
Elements 2026 certainly had its positives and negatives. The rain made things a bit difficult, but nothing stops true festival goers and we just embraced it. The weekend delivered a strong lineup and beautiful stage / forest atmosphere even with these setbacks. Overall the weekend was a memorable one.
