SIDEPIECE and Bobby Shmurda Turn Up the Heat with High-Energy Anthem ‘Cash Out’

SIDEPIECE and Bobby Shmurda have dropped their new single ‘Cash Out’, today June 20th. The track is a bumping house take on Shmurda’s 2014 smash hit ‘Hot N*gga’, which peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and went 5x Platinum. It’s the first official release on Lip Service, the newly launched label from the Grammy-nominated SIDEPIECE, the duo behind 2019’s mega-hit “On My Mind” with Diplo.

The OG is so beloved and such a part of the zeitgeist when it came out—but this newer generation is hearing it with fresh ears. We got in touch with Bobby, and not only was he super responsive, but he was genuinely into the idea. He loves dance music and electronic culture, so it was a perfect fit. To make it happen, he had to go back into the studio and re-record the vocals, and it was surreal to watch this song get a whole new life after all these years."
The collab came to life at EDC Las Vegas, where Shmurda made a surprise appearance during SIDEPIECE’s set at the Cosmic Meadow stage to perform the track in front of an elated crowd. The moment added fuel to the anticipation surrounding the release. (Watch here)
