Sikdope drops “Small Talk,” a high-energy Main Stage club track packed with punchy beats, sharp bass, and a catchy Pop vocal hook. The genre-blending Polish DJ, remixer, and producer returns to Dim Mak with a high-energy feel-good track tailor made for the summer.
“With Small Talk I just wanted to make something that feels good,” Sikdope shares. “You can vibe to it in the car with the windows down, but it still has that weight for live shows. The vocal hook sets the mood, then it drops into this energetic, bouncy part that really hits, but still keeps the vibe of that emotional intro. It’s heavy in a way that makes you move, not in a harsh or aggressive way. Kind of sits in the same world as my Final Call EP, but with a lighter, more summer feel. Just one of those tracks that works whether you're on a drive or in the middle of a crowd.”
Crafted with precision and melodic edge, “Small Talk” bridges the emotional with the explosive. It is a track most surely primed for festival sets, club nights, or laid-back listening.
“Small Talk” is out on Dim Mak July 11th.
ABOUT SIKDOPE
Don’t sleep on Sikdope; he’ll make sure it costs you. The Polish beatsmith has built a reputation as a chameleon in the studio — from vicious bass-infused house, to upbeat hard dance tracks with bassline elements — he has an uncanny knack for keeping everyone guessing. His brand of merciless festival ammunition eventually caught the ears, & co-sign, of Calvin Harris on his breakout hit, “Snakes,” essentially lighting a fuse that just continues to burn. Now the tenacious producer has one hand gripping the wheel & a lead foot flooring the gas, steering the direction of electronic music’s most exciting new sounds. When he’s not canvasing clubs & festivals across the world, Sikdope is buried under headphones in the lab, tampering with dangerous new sonics. With a decade of classic training at one of Europe’s top production schools fueling his creative process, he always has an arsenal of new material at the ready, simultaneously pressing his punishing trap products to innovative new limits & helping pioneer a colossal bass-house swell. A growing legion of fans all over the world, from LA to Shanghai all believe “music is the cure,” & Sikdope consistently has the remedy. Having dominated festivals across four continents —from Belgium’s Tomorrowland to EDC Orlando’s Main Stage — with releases on Spinnin Records, Smash The House, STMPD, Fly Eye, & Tiësto’s legendary Musical Freedom, he’s positioned as one of today’s most explosive talents, & he’s dead set on taking over the game.
