We Belong Here 2026 Weekend Recap
From June 19–21, the Brooklyn Army Terminal waterfront transformed into one of New York City's premier dance music destinations as We Belong Here delivered three unforgettable days of music, community, and skyline views. Marking the festival's largest Brooklyn edition to date, the expanded multi-stage experience brought together global electronic artists, local talent, immersive production, and thousands of fans for a weekend that celebrated everything the dance music community stands for.
Friday kicked off with an energetic opening led by Kx5, the powerhouse collaboration between Kaskade and deadmau5, alongside standout performances from Wax Motif, Shermanology, and Luke Alexander. Getting inside the venue took a bit as the lsecurity lines were a bit backed up. Once inside you had to really work your way to the main stage since it was extremely crowded. There were nice pockets of room around the back of the stage along with the second stage with more bathrooms & bars. Having the second stage behind the first wasn’t the best because if you didn’t want to fight through the crowd you probaly didn’t even know anything was there.
Saturday raised the energy even higher as Eli Brown brought his signature driving techno sound to the 360° stage, while Lane 8 and Sultan + Shepard delivered a melodic sunset set that became one of the weekend's defining moments. With Giolì & Assia, Stello b2b Coastlines, and a vibrant showcase of New York's underground scene, the festival struck the perfect balance between internationally acclaimed artists and hometown talent. It was overall less crowded and the vibes were better than Friday. The festival even opened up the gates on the right to let people move around a bit better.
The festival closed on Sunday with an emotional finale featuring Above & Beyond, Oliver Heldens, and Eli & Fur, creating an unforgettable soundtrack as the sun set over the Manhattan skyline. From uplifting anthems to deep house grooves, the final day embodied the spirit of connection that has become synonymous with the We Belong Here experience. Above & Beyond were great as always, but for us, Oliver Heldens stole the show. It was the set that you didn’t know you needed. With bubbles flying aorund you and a beautiful sunset, it was a great day to end a fantastic weekend.
Beyond the music, attendees enjoyed curated food offerings, art installations, waterfront lounges, and panoramic views that made every corner of the venue feel like part of the experience. While opening-day entry delays were a challenge for some guests, the weekend quickly found its rhythm, with many attendees praising the atmosphere, music, and sense of community that carried through the remaining days.
As the final beats echoed across Brooklyn's waterfront, one thing was clear: We Belong Here continues to redefine what a boutique electronic music festival can be. With world-class performances, unforgettable moments, and a community that came together through music, the 2026 Brooklyn edition left fans already counting down to next year.
