Anna Calvi Joins Lumineries at Green Events & Innovations Conference 2026
GEI’s EarthPercent Hour will this year welcome two very special guests in the form of multi-award-winning singer-songwriters Anna Calvi and David Gray.
They will be joined by host Cathy Runciman, co-executive director of EarthPercent, the charity founded by Brian Eno, to discuss musical journeys, inspiration, community, and planetary care in GEI’s keynote session Unleashing the Power of Music in Service of the Planet. EarthPercent Hour is always the icing on the plant-based cake of GEI’s programme, with previous guests including Brian Eno, Jarvis Cocker, Moby, Aurora, Jacob Collier, and Declan McKenna.
“The EarthPercent Hour at GEI is a highlight of the year — a vital moment for artists and the industry to come together and use music, creativity and influence in support of our planet. It's always so rich and inspiring to host on-stage conversations with artists – and this year, I'm really excited to speak to Anna Calvi and David Gray about their music, what they are seeing in the world and what's important to them."

Delegates will be treated to not only insights, but also live performances from Tobias Turley (MAMMA MIA!), who stars as Humanity in the award winning pop musical Hot Mess, and Katarina Barruk who collaborated with Bicep on the critically acclaimed immersive audiovisual project TAKKUUK, singing in the critically endangered language of Ume Sámi.
Elsewhere, food is on the agenda. And not just in the form of the complimentary five-star vegan lunch and Devil’s Kitchen plant-based balls featured at GEI’s Booze & Balls Closing Drinks. Beyond the Burger Van, presented by Petra Daniëls of Paradise City (BE) and hosted by one of the UK’s leading voices in plant-based foods and sustainable living, The Little London Vegan, Clare Every, will explore the revolution in festival catering through the lens of Belgium's pioneering Paradise City.
Also joining GEI’s lineup of luminaries are naturalist, TV presenter, and author Chris Packham CBE, and Ecotricity’s Dale Vince OBE, who will introduce Saturday Night Beaver with Ecotalk, in which our power duo discuss ways that we can protect nature. And Vince is later joined by Kneecap’s manager, Dan Lambert, who will provide first-hand insight into cancel culture and boycotts in Cancel Me, Cancel You.
In Riders on the Storm, we explore climate adaptation for events, with input from University College London, The Met Office, Boom Festival (PT), and Boomtown Fair (UK), and hosted by Claire Poole of Sport Positive.
And this year, GEI has also expanded to include a third room that will be dedicated to deep dives into compelling topics. Presenters will share their solutions for audience travel and touring emissions; from production product manufacturing Life Cycle Analysis to slow touring, from organisations including Better Live, VibeLab, Technopol, and PLASA; How to Get a 90% Recycling Rate with insights from LIDO Festival and Radio 2 Big Weekend; projects for accessibility and inclusion from Big Team and ClearText; how AI is transforming the live sector with Centre for Festivals and Events (CEF); and the unmissable Deep Dive into Toilets: The loos you choose.
